Funhouse Comedy Club Returns, headlined by the wonderful Gordon Southern.
Gordon Southern is the international word clown. His upbeat and energetic delivery combined with his fantastically funny observational comedy & quick witted improvisation has secured his place as an audience favourite all over the world. He is a regular at many top clubs including the famous London Comedy Store.
A talented actor and award winning writer with critical acclaim for numerous projects that he has worked on, Southern has written for some of the most memorable comedy shows of the last decade.
Howard Read is an award winning actor, writer, comedian and children’s entertainer too. His first love is Stand Up Comedy, but he is perhaps best known for his star appearance at this years Royal Variety Performance with his act ‘Big Howard, Little Howard’. This has thrust his name into the limelight and he now tours extensively with this show.
Erich McElroy is a stand-up comedian and writer. Originally from Seattle, he moved to the UK in 2000 and in 2007 collected his British passport. In addition to playing playing UK venues up and down the country, Erich has appeared on BBC Breakfast, Newsnight and Five News. He has also written for the Independent, Huffington Post, The Herald in Scotland and even Saga.He can be heard each week on Fubar Radio on SomeNews every Monday at 10am.He lives in London with his wife and two children that he is quite fond of.
The wonderful James Dowdeswell is our compere. James is an imaginative storytelling comedian who combines deft stand-up with daft stories. He is a headline act at most top UK comedy clubs. His comedy has travelled as far as Shanghai, Dubai, Doha, Hong Kong, Bangkok, Phuket, Bali, France, Belgium, Germany, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Australia and Singapore.
This year Dowdeswell has appeared on Russell Howard’s Good News (BBC), Celebrity Deal Or No Deal (Channel 4) and Olympics Greatest Moments (BBC). He also played The Count in Ricky Gervais’ Extras. He is currently filming in his own comedy show about wine called “James Dowdeswell – Black Belt In Wine.”
