Maximum Jam – Craft Festival

Where: Grainstore Brewery, Oakham
When: Saturday 15th April, 8.30pm

Maximum Jam are three extremely talented Leicestershire musicians with one common musical passion… that passion is replicating the music of The JAM!
The quirky, technical arrangement, groove and look of the Jam, is not an easy format to reproduce. However, the lads have spent most of 2012 months tucked up in the rehearsal studio perfecting the sound of the true fathers of MOD.

Darren Jones – Lead Vocals and Guitar: is a locally renowned guitar and vocal legend. His gritty vocal mixed with a bit of the ‘ol cockney chime produces a pretty convincing weller! Darren has lots of experience in performing and composing music in originals, tributes and covers bands, he also has over 10 years of experience as a guitar tutor at The Guitar Workshop (www.theguitarworkshoponline.co.uk)

Ben Storer – Bass: Ben the baby of the group and is an adaptable and versatile bassist. Ben was kidnapped from another band to complete the maximum JAM line up!! His influences are many and varied, from Bluegrass through to Jazz and Rock. He is also a bit of a demon on lead guitar and teaches as a hobby. Ben plays in a number of varied-genre cover bands and has all the qualities required to play in the style of Mr Foxton!

Warren Mee – Drums; Warren has many years of experience in drumming and is currently a drum tutor at his music studio, Ashby Academy of Rock (www.academy-of-rock.org). He has played in many bands over the years and is also currently in the Red Mock Chili Peppers (www.redmocks.co.uk) who have experience in playing at venues, including Universities and major entertainment venues all over the UK and abroad. Being influenced by so many different genres and styles has helped him to recreate the groove, feel and technical drum loops for which Rick Butler is famed.
