Risky Trick are a 4 piece blues band formed in 2015 and based in Stamford, South Lincolnshire. The band are: Fredo Miceli and Johnny Robottom (guitars and vocals) from Stamford, Malcolm Taylor (bass guitar) from Bourne, and Roland Wilson (drums and vocals) from Oakham.
The band have a wealth of gigging and recording experience between them, the rhythm section in particular having been treading the boards since the 1960s, Malcolm in London in the British Blues Boom alongside the likes of Dave Kelly and Tom McGuinness, and Roland in a range of bands and styles across Lincolnshire and Cambridgeshire.
Roland and Johnny spent over 15 years together in local band Slipstream who hosted popular blues clubs in Stamford, recorded 6 albums, and gigged extensively across the midlands. Fredo is Risky Trick’s younger gun, bringing rock influences to the mix; he has been playing guitar and keyboards in local bands for over 20 years.
Risky Trick play rock-tinged blues with harmony vocals and harmony guitars over a rock-solid rhythm section. They play their own respectful takes on classic blues and blues-rock songs by the likes of Clapton, Hendrix, Buddy Guy, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Otis Rush, Peter Green, Jimmy Reed, John Mayall, Gary Moore, and more…..
