Rutland Big Band at Christmas

Where: Grainstore Brewery, Oakham
When: Monday 17th December, 7.30pm

The Rutland Big Band are returning once again to The Grainstore Brewery for a last hurrah before Christmas. Join us for some great swing, jazz and party music, lots of Christmas specials and maybe a few guest singers too!

There’s nothing quite like the sound of a live band to get your feet moving. The Rutland Big Band can liven up your  PARTY, WEDDING, FESTIVAL, FETE OR FAIR with the old Sinatra style swing favourites, jazz numbers, or some party music to dance around to including Stevie Wonder,  the Beatles amongst others!

Thier repertoire includes popular tunes from the 40s swing era such as “Moonlight Serenade” and “American Patrol” through “Rock Around The Clock” to Sinatra numbers such as “My Way”, “Sir Duke” (that’s a Stevie Wonder tune), and “Moondance” (van Morrison) which are great for parties and weddings.

The Rutland Big Band started with just a handful of people in 2005 who wanted to play some tunes together. These days they have attracted a group of  experienced and accomplished musicians and people often ask them back to perform a second time. They have performed at the Uppingham Fringe arts festival, the Oakham Festival, weddings,  40s nights, and in the Curve theatre in Leicester. So if you are looking to hire a wedding band or a party band, please get in touch, and give your guests a good dance. They will happily travel around Oakham, Leicestershire, Uppingham,  Stamford, Melton Mowbray, Corby and other places around the East Midlands.
