Our Halloween Ale ‘Witchs Brew’ is now available to order for delivery to your pub or outlet.
The Grainstore Brewery in Station Approach, Oakham, and The Rutland Cake Company at Oakham Enterprise Park have developed a number of cakes and bakes which launched at the Rutland Food and Drink Festival on Sunday, October 29th, with one ingredient in common – beer.
We would like to take this opportunity to wish all of our Customers, both Bar and Brewery a Merry Christmas and a Very Hoppy New Beer. Thank you for all of your custom in 2017 and we look forward to seeing you all in 2018.

Immediately following this years 17th Annual Beer Festival, the Grainstore Brewery Tap will be closed for three days, from Tuesday 30th August then reopening at 3.30pm on Firday 2nd September 2016.
A position has arisen to join our Kitchen team. We are looking to recruit a Chef to work alongside our existing Head Chef.

Our 5th Annual Cider and Sausage Festival is approaching fast. It promises to be bigger and better than ever before. With great live music and our BBQ every day.
There are, sadly, lots of Publicans who have little or no training in handling beer or good cellar practice. This is usually through no fault of their own.
So, whilst trawling through the internet in the dead of night, contemplating the inevitable round of annual price hikes from the major brewers, duty increases from our ‘pro Britain’ government and the general downturn in trade after Christmas, we stumbled across this great Blog post from Beer Nouveau of Manchester, called ‘Costs, Quality and that Elusive Profit’. So worthy is it of a read, that we thought we would copy it to our own Blog too, with full credit being given to it’s original author Steve.
