Limited Edition Brews
We think that you are very special. As members of our Grainy Family, we have come up with something a little bit special for you in return. Each month you will have access to a very Limited Edition brew. Only 60 Firkins of each beer will ever be available and these are only available on a ‘first come, first served’ basis. Order as many as you want, but be quick, once they are gone, they may never return. You will be able to order up to three months in advance for each months brew, with the next ones available, including tasting notes appearing here. February: Calcutta3.9 abv
A golden beer, brewed with a combination of English, European and American hops whose flavours when coupled with the delicate character imparted by lightly kilned malt, give a taste and aroma to the beer which produces subtle thirst quenching drinkability. Ideal for the excitement of watching England trounce the Scots.
March: Two Monkeys4.0 abv
A refreshing, balanced session ale, with a combination of Goldings, Saaz, Cascade and Fuggles, along with three malts resulting in a fruity ale with a lovely malty finish and a gentle orange tint.
Brewed for the 20th Anniversary of Rutland’s Independence from Leicestershire celebrations, ‘Raddleman’ is the name for an inhabitant of the country’s smallest county of Rutland.
A refreshing, light golden, springtime brew, whose flavour is a blend of mellow malty sweetness finely balanced against a subtle floral aroma from Saaz and Hersbrucker hops and smooth bitterness.
April: St. George4.1abv
Saint George’s Day is the feast day of Saint George as celebrated by various Christian Churches and by the several nations, kingdoms, countries, and cities of which Saint George is the patron saint.
With a lovely red hue to reflect the colours of England, we are proud to celebrate our heritage and the culture of great British beer each and every year with this delicious, perfectly balanced brew.
May: Lord Minimus3.8abv
A refreshing light golden hoppy brew with a distinct citrus note in its flavour. It exhibits a mellow malt sweetness which is finely balanced against a pronounced hop bitterness imparted by the use of Challenger, Cardinal and Cascade. The beer is dry hopped pre-fermentation with Cardinal. Surprisingly easy to drink, Lord Minimus has the moreishness expected of the Grainstore Brewery’s range of beers.
Brewed once a year to celebrate the great Britsh institution that is the All England Championships held at Wimbledon.
A cheeky little number combining Goldings, Cascade, Slovenian Goldings and Wolf Hops, along with four different malts and wheats, hopefully Backhand is a winner!
If you would like to preorder yours we are releasing Beesting in mid August. Produced using honey from our own hives along with other locally sourced supplies, ‘Beesting’ will be a Limited Edition run with only 55 casks being produced, so get your orders in now, as we expect it to buzz off the shelves in a hurry!
