The Green Man, Stamford is a stone built former coaching inn dating from 1796 that features a split-level bar and is well known as a real ale heaven.
As well as Grainstore Ales, the Green Man always stocks guest beers from micro breweries (usually around eight in total) plus up to seven traditional ciders and perries and a good range of European bottled beers.
Two beer festivals are held at the Green Man, Stamford each year at Easter and in September are held on the secluded patio that features a stone mounting block dating back to the pub’s coaching inn days.
Lunch time food is served 12-3.00 Wed to Saturday. Friday night is “Pie Night” featuring a Pie & Pint Special from 5 to 7.00pm. Sunday Lunch is served Carvery Style.
There is a large TV and jukebox.
Pump clips and beer memorabilia adorn the walls. Happy Hour takes place between 5-6.30pm.
Peterborough & District CAMRA voted the Green Man, Stamford as their Pub of the Year in 2000.
